WHY Operation Veterans' Hope IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED
Operation Veterans' Hope
Founder Jon Locke had to make a decision back in March to temporarily leave Operation Veterans' Hope (OVH) because of medical reasons. Due to lack of volunteers we had to make the decision to close in August until Jon's health improves and he can return to the organization.
Our plan currently is to raise money so that we can restart our thrift store in the spring of 2024, location is up in the air at this time, but will be trying to setup in Carlisle, PA. While the thrift store is operating, OVH will then start to help financially those in need, helping with bills, rent, transportation all in hopes of preventing homelessness. Once we have earned enough through sales and donations, OVH then wants to build its own facility to house those enrolling in our Work2Stay program.
